2007 Shiraz

Fully ripe Shiraz grapes were fermented in open fermenters, with plunging of the skins by hand. The wine has been matured for 22 months in French and American oak barriques.

The wine has a fragrant and spicy bouquet and while not being a heavy wine, it has huge intensity, depth and length of flavour on the palate. Seamlessly interwoven rich concentrated berry fruits and spicy oak make this wine an outstanding example of Shiraz from the Canberra District's warmest vineyards. Great drinking now and also a superb cellaring proposition.

5 stars James Halliday 2010 Wine Companion.

'Top Drops' The 2007 Shiraz, always one of Canberra's best, comes in this vintage from Wayne and Jennie Fischer's Nanima vineyard, backed by a little Viognier from Brindabella. It's a dark, aromatic more savoury than usual wine, with the characteristic firm tannins of the season. Atypical but outstanding red. Chris Shanahan April 25 2010, Sunday Canberra Times.

Cellar Door Price: $28.00
Price per bottle in any dozen: $25.00

2008 Brio

Brio: verve and vigour - aptly describes the lively flavours and texture of this wine. Made from the Brunello clone of Sangiovese which has its origins in the hill town of Montalcino, Tuscany.

True to its Italian heritage this Sangiovese has spicy aromas, black cherry fruit and savoury firm tannins making it a superb partner for Mediterranean style food.

'Top Drops' Brio meaning verve and vigour, is a pure, unforced expression of Sangiovese, medium-bodied, but with a sweet, ripe kernel of cherry-like varietal flavour and firm savoury tannins. Roger Harris says this is the noble Brunello clone of the variety, sourced from a neighbouring vineyard at Hall. Chris Shanahan, Sunday Canberra Times, April 25, 2010.

Cellar Door Price: $20.00
Price per bottle in any dozen: $18.00

2009 Riesling

A Riesling in the classic Australian style. A crisp and refreshing white wine with a bouquet reminiscent of fresh limes. An ideal accompaniment to fish and shell fish dishes and piquant appetisers.

Brindabella Hills 2008 Riesling was awarded Gold and was one of the top ten Australian Rieslings in the 2008 Canberra International Riesling Challenge.

Bronze Medal 2008 Canberra Regional Show.

The 2009 Riesling has now been released and we think it has even more length and intensity than the 2008.

'Top Drops' The Riesling is intensely aromatic, with lime and lemon-like palate backs up the first impressions, finishing with good cellaring potential. Chris Shanahan, April 25, 2010, Sunday Canberra Times.

Cellar Door Price: $25.00
Price per bottle in any dozen: $22.50

2009 AUREUS Viognier/Chardonnay

This wine is a delicious blend of Viognier and Chardonnay with complex stonefruit flavours enhanced by the rich textures of barrel fermentation.

Barrel fermented Chardonnay aged 5 months on lees has been blended with Viognier to give a wine of complexity and finesse with a floral and spicy bouquet and the flavour of stone fruits on a long and richly textured palate. It is a great accompaniment to richer dishes of seafood, poultry and pork.

Cellar Door Price: $25.00
Price per bottle in any dozen: $22.50

2009 Sauvignon Blanc

A lively zesty and fruity wine with tropical fruit flavours. Especially enjoyable with Mediterranean or Asian dishes or enjoyed on the verandah just on its own, lightly chilled.

Cellar Door Price: $18.00
Price per bottle in any dozen: $16.50

2008 Argenteus

This lovely wine blends the floral and spice of Gewurztraminer with the lemony zing of Riesling and the subtle pear and musk flavours of Pinot Gris. Delightful on its own, it will also pair with soft ripened cheese or light spicy Asian dishes.

'Top Drops' Gewurztraminer, Riesling and Pinot Gris? Strange bed partners perhaps, but they work in Argentius - High-toned, musky gewurztraminer dominates the aroma, suggesting perhaps a touch of sweetness and viscosity to come. Yes, to an extent, but the palate's more complex - citrusy and tangy, velvety and slick. It's off-dry with a savoury grip of tannin from the gewurztraminer and pinot gris. Goes very well with Thai food. Chris Shanahan, Sunday Canberra Times, April 25, 2010.

Cellar Door Price: $20.00
Price per bottle in any dozen: $18.00

2005 Sangiovese Shiraz

A blend of Sangiovese (66%) and Shiraz (33%), this wine shows dark cherry fruit with spice and savoury flavours supported by fine tannins and refreshing acidity.

A great accompaniment for Mediterranean food especially pasta and pizza dishes.

Cellar Door Price: $18.00
Price per bottle in any dozen: $16.50

2009 Pinot Gris

This wine shows subtle hints of pear and musk on the bouquet typical of Pinot Gris leading to a softly textured palate with a satisfying long finish.

Cellar Door Price: $20.00
Price per bottle in any dozen: $18.00

2008 Wild Rose

Made from a blend of Cabernet Franc and the Italian variety Sangiovese, the Cabernet Franc provides intensely floral notes of wood violets and roses and the Sangiovese adds a savoury finish to the wine. A lovely wine to enjoy on a summer's day relaxing on the verandah or enjoying a meal al fresco with friends.
